short sale vs forclosure

which would be better to do .let house go into forclosure or do a short sale which has less liabilaty

short sales are generally preferable to a foreclosure. Most loan servicers will want to see an actual contract before agreeing. It may be helpful to discuss this with an attorney or HUD certified housing couneling agency before moving forward.
