Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Siding & window installers taking to long

It's been almost 2 months since the work started on removing and replacing the old windows and siding at my parents home. They only have the back and sides done, the whole front of their home has not been touched as of yet. They live in a three bedroom ranch style home. Is there a time limit under the law of Virginia that states you can do something about the problem if the work is not completed in the time frame that they verbally discussed with them??

I meant to add: at this stage in the work. After many more months have elapsed and if the contractors are still way behind, there might be some chance of your parents bringing an action for breach of the verbal contract when it would be clearly evident that something was seriously amiss with their record of performance.
