Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I signed a lease for an expensive apartment complex, in part because it had new, thick, sound-reducing walls. I was unaware when I signed my lease that there would be loud construction. As a student, there are many days when I am at home studying during the day and am interrupted by loud building construction. Am I entitled to any kind of remuneration for this? I would like the building owners to cover the cost of noise-reducing head phones to drown out the sound.

No, under these facts I would think not.
