signing land and home over to wife

I want to sign my land and home over to my wife. I'd like my name removed from it completely.

Re: signing land and home over to wife

Why, for what purpose, unless you may be headed for a nursing home and consequently may have to rely on Medicaid to pay for it? And, even if that is the case, you have to be careful regarding such a transfer and the so called "look back" period factor which may invalidate it and defeat the purpose for which it was intended.

However, if the above is inapplicable to your particular situation and you soon expect to depart Planet Earth for the other side, there are other ways to ensure that your wife will completely inherit your property without dispossessing yourself now while you're still breathing here among the living.

More information is required as to the reason for the transfer. If you were to proceed with such a transfer, it would be done by a deed from yourself to your wife.
