Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Can you sue for misinformation?

My mom is currently looking for a new place and is trying to get a loan - for 2 years now a certain employee at her bank told her that a. the bank won't give her a loan on a new home, b. they can't put any money towards condo fees, c. that she couldn't get a loan over 80k (she wanted something closer to 350k) and d. that she would have to put up 150k to get 300k, even though according to her earlier statement the 300k loan wouldn't be possible. Is there any sort of recourse? They are now offering my mom a loan (at an extremely shitty rate) so I was just curious. Thanks.

Much more information is needed to answer your questions. To name a few:

-your mom's income, credit score, the value of the condo, the terms of the loan(s).
