Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

The survey platt that was done for us at the time of settlement of the house shows a concrete slab encroaching .6 ft. on our side of the line. There is a shed built on top of the slab and the roof line of the shed parallels the boundary line vertically. Is there not an easement law in Fairfax County between the two properties where no building should be permitted?

No, I am unaware of any such general law of easement in the county

governing such matters which is why a purchaser of real property normally

has a survey done well before settlement so that the kind of encroachment which you've described can be dealt with by the parties well BEFORE settlement occurs.
