Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
Tenants rights
My rented a property with first right of refusal to buy, we have until April 31st. We have just been told the landlord now wants an answer whether we are going to purchase the property and we have one week to do that or else they will take that as our first right of refusal gone....it is then going on teh market on Jan 31st they said they will put a lock box on the property and will show the property at a reasonable time and hours to suit them....should this not be to suit us as tenants...we have 4 children and 3 have dissabilities i dont want people entering and viewing the home when ever they choose, we always pay our rent on time and dont feel this is fair...what are our rights?
