Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
timeshare foreclosure in VA
I am behind on payments for a timeshare. They are talking foreclusre. Is there a way to sell before they start the process? Also, are laws for timneshare foreclosures the same as in homeowner situations? I need a little help and guidance. Will I get sued after the foreclosure is done?

Another time share disappointment. What else is new in this world of ours replete with disappointments? Not much, apparently, when it comes to timeshares which appear to have a monopoly on disappointments involved with what one might term transitory ownership interests in real property.
Sure, you can sell this headache out from under your furrowed brow before foreclosure proceedings commence, if you can find another species of Homo Sapiens on this planet dumb enough (as you were) to buy.
And, yes, the foreclosure proceedings for this virtually worthless time share will parallel those of any other foreclosed property.
Vaya con Dios!

And, yes, I neglected to add that you could well be responsible for any deficiency judgment that might be awarded these timeshare sharpsters if your timeshare is sold for an amount that is less than what you currently owe on it.
