Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Timeshares

My father is ill and no longer uses or can afford his timeshares. I have tried to donate or sell the shares but the many companies I spoke with require significant money in advance with no guarantee of sale. The properties are paid in full and all fees are up to date. At this point he just wants to stop paying for a property he doesn't use.

Can he stop paying and return the deeds to the original sellers? What ihappens if he just stops paying annual dues, etc Thank you!

Re: Timeshares

If your ailing father stops paying the annual dues

on these timeshares, he will forfeit his respective interests in these properties(right to use at specific times during calendar year)to those which

currently own or control them.
