Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
Tree damage liability
If a branch or tree from my property falls on the neighbor's shed am I responsible for the damages. No one was injured. If renters, is anyone responsible for their belongings?

Re: Tree damage liability
If the fall of the tree branch was forseeable (and not considered what the law calls an act of God), then you are likely responsible for all resultant damages to the property of whoever was legitmately in residence there, whether they be renters or owners.
