Wood Window Blinds

I recently sent a letter asking if it was permissible to install ''Cherry Wood'' colored blinds on my units windows as I have noticed over the past year at least four units have done so. In the letter I received back, I was told that no window treatments could be installed that did not appear to be white, off-white or beige to the outside world. How can they tell me that it is not permissible when at least four other units in the same complex have done so?

Well, why don't you ask "them", pointing out the four variances which you've noticed thus far?
