Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I work for a lead generation company. I recently said I am leaving and they said the leads that they gave me I can't take with me becuase they are property of the brokerage. If I take a lead that I have been working with on his own free will. What legal rights do they have to the commission that is earned?

The company could probably claim it(if they were to find out about it, in my opinion).
