Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia

Company Calendar with Scantily Clad Women

To whom it should concern:

I work at a privately owned manufacturing facility in Virginia. The parent company is located in Germany. The parent company currently publishes a yearly calendar with scantily clad women posing next to their product (NO nudity, but close), and it is sold at our facility as well as Germany's.

With the company being private, and the calendar being an offical company calendar (with logo and everything), would I be immune from sexual harassment claims if I were to hang it in my office or use electronic scans from the calendar as my screen saver?

Thank you very much.

Re: Company Calendar with Scantily Clad Women

Would you be immune, you inquire, from sexual harassment claims for hanging a company calendar in your office depicting "scantily clad" women?

No, I doubt that you would have any such guarantee of immunity from such claims. However, I also very much doubt that any disgrunted or disaffected employee of your company would be able to mount a viable claim for sexual harassment in any federal court within the Fourth Circuit based soley upon such a calendar as you've described hanging on your office wall.
