Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia
Drivers Ed
I'm 18 and my drivers ed teacher was 50. He told me that he dated one ''Asian chick'' a year, and would point out women on the street who looked hot to him. Once, after 5 minutes of tough driving he had me park and took me to a deli for lunch because he had coupons. He told me all the things he liked in women and I felt like he was describing me. He would grab my hands on the wheel to show me how to do something, and held my knee to push on the gas or brake. He would text me a lot to see when I was free, and to set up my lessons. Once he called me supposedly to set up a lesson, but he put his friend on the phone and his bud told me that I sounded sexy. I said I was too young for him. The teacher told me I was the worst driver he had, and when I started crying he put his arm around me while I was driving and I almost hit another car. I finally pulled over and went into a store. I called my mom. When my mom came to pick me up I told her what happened. I was crying and he caressed my cheek to make me feel better. I told him again not to touch me. I was afraid to quit the lessons because we had paid for 10 lessons but I could only put up with him for 8. Can I press charges now after almost a year? Should his teaching permit be revoked?

Re: Drivers Ed
Of course, this person's teaching permit should be revoked and before any more time goes by, you should report in writing his behaviour to those in charge of the driving school. Beyond that, I'm not sure as to what other "charges" you may have in mind.
