Restraining orders, whether in Virginia

or Georgia, as a general rule, restrain

or prohibit all forms of contact between parties, whether tangible or intangible, the latter of course including such things as email and electronic comminications.

However, as a practical matter, the courts in Georgia are not going to enforce a Virginia restraining order against a resident of the former state.
