Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia

Medical complaint question

My doctor touches me inappropreately. I didn't think anything of it at first. But it gradually got more uncomfortable and forward. (Unhooking and hooking my clothing, rubbing my leg while talking to me, watching me undress instead of leaving the room) After my last vist I was actually shaking. I will not be going back. What should I do. I don't want this to happen to anyone else but I don't really want to go public with it either. I want to file some sort of complaint so that the medical board is checking him out but he doesn't know that I am the one who did the complaining. Any advice?

Re: Medical complaint question

Send your complaint to the Board of Physicians in Richmond which supervises the licensing of physicians in the Commonwealth. Such complaints are normally kept confidential and it would be unlikely that your name would be disclosed to this particular physician.
