Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia

Sexual Harasment in the workplace question

This may be a little hard to explain. I will try to keep it simple. My wife works for a facility. One of the Directors asked my wife's direct supervisor if her husband(me) knew that she was hanging out with a male coworker. We will call my wife ''Y'' and the coworker ''X'' Director (D) stated the following: ''Where is Y's Husband.'' Direct supervisor (DS) responded: ''I do not know.'' D: ''Well does he know that Y spends a lot of time with X.'' DS: ''Yes he knows.'' D: ''Well you know what that looks like. A lot of members are talking about it'' (members refer to clients at the facility). My wife would like to know if she has a basis to file a sexual harassment complaint against the Director? Thank you for taking the time to look this over.

Re: Sexual Harasment in the workplace question

I would say no. Sounds like little more than shop

gossip to me rather than what federal law would recognize as an actionable case for prohibited sexual harassment.
