Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia
Sexual Talk
As I was placing an order through a
drive through (Taco Bell) The man
was first outside and then went in to
take my order, as I tried to proceed
he kept making sounds, then when I
asked for the new freeze drink he
stated with LOTS of Cream, O how
yummy. I was shocked, so I just
drove on. I told my husband and he
called in. I've actually filed a claim
with the corp, through them. I
haven't spoke to a lawyer yet on this,
but we do have an attorney already
for farming and paperwork. I did
explain every detail, time, day, what
this guy looks like. Last week when I
made a call into Taco Bell, the
manager stated If it makes you feel
better, that employee was
terminated. Am I in the right? I'd
like to settle without going through
the BIG process, but I'm not sure on
what to do. I am on meds now for
things that have happened to me like
this but Physically, and I shouldn't
have to tolerate it at a drive through.

Re: Sexual Talk
In my opinion, you have no viable case whatsoever against this Taco Bell nor its manager based upon the incident described. And, if you doubt my opinion, I suggest that you run it by your counsel who handles your farming and paperwork legalities and who may also know something about the law of torts in the Commonwealth.
