Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia

supervisor sexual advansments turned resentful

I have been friends with this person for years and it turned into a situation that revolved over the past couple of years of sexual harrasment, when regected he would be come angry / retalitory, if ignored would return to normal day to day work . I know I let it go on for to long, but feared the loss of my job, retaliation, or worse. I did not want to hurt any one and was frankly intimidated. I have finally grown very tierd and he in angry and my environment is extremly uncomfortable. I presented the agency with letters, emails and my case today and they are upset with me and said thing like what did I do to make him think that I liked him. They are blaming me like I lead him on. They have a policy and said it was my responsibility to report it. He is my supervisor, was at one point my friend, and I am scared, I am a single female in a small town, they have my lively hood in hand. Besides he was saying some real strang things, like he might hurt himself and so on. What is the statute of limitations on sexual harrasement in va. He has gotton really smart, he only treats me bad behind closed doors, does not put anything in writing anymore, it is like I have no evidence to back up my claims that are not a year old. Thanks

The federal statute of limitations for claims of sexual harassment arising within the Commonwealth have a statute of limitations of 180 days if the claim is filed with the designated state or local office or 300 days if filed with the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission)---as measured from the date of the last sexually harassing act within the workplace environment.
