Legal Question in Tax Law in Virginia

Employer never sent 1099 for bonuses

About 7 years ago the company I was working for sent me my W2 but never sent me a 1099 for my bonuses. 2 years ago I received a letter from the IRS stating I had made $100000 dollars in bonuses and owed $10000 in taxes. I never made $100000 in any year and now they are garnishing my wages. Is there a government agency I can call or who do I talk to to fight this?

The IRS itself should have an internal appeal process which you should utilize before taking the matter to the U.S. Tax Court in Wasington DC. An attorney, of course, would obviously be advisable to assist you with this matter.
