Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
1987 Virginia Tinting Regulations
� 46.2-1052 of the Code of Virginia Section I Indicates that if your vehicle was in compliance with state law for tinting that it shall continue to be lawful. What are those prior regulations, prior to july 1, 1987. Thank You.

Section I also indicates that one must have the receipt(s) showing that the sunshading was installed prior to July 1, 1987, in order to receive the benefit of the exception to the current law. Unless one has such receipts there's little point in attempting to go back some eighteen years to discover what the statute may have allowed prior to July 1, 1987.
