Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I apparently paid a court debt with a bad check. I had no idea. The court records say the offense date was Sept 2000. I was going through a divorce and do not recall a bad check. I only came across this my searching records for my ex. I moved out of VA in Dec 2001, and was not served for court. The status on the court records online says
Case type : Capias
Final Disposition in District Court:

So, contact the clerk's office of the traffic court to determine whether in fact the capias (warrant) was in fact recalled or is still outstanding.
(If the latter, best to arrange for an appointment with a criminal defense
counsel who practices in the area for further advice.)
