Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Appealing traffic ticket
I was found guilty of failure to observe highway sign (reduced from running red light) I have appealed that ruling because i am not guilty of anything. Does the officer have to be present at the appeal? If he isnt, will it get thrown out?

Yes, if the Commonwealth intends to put on a case. Possibly, unless the
Commonwealth asks for a continuance.
