auto accident

my stepdaughter's boyfriend was driving her car that is insured in my name and hit someone in another car. she was told not to let him drive the car. she let him. no one was injured. he had a suspended license. is my insurance company going to pay or am i responsible for all damages

Probably, depends upon who your insurer is and whether they're more inclined to look out for their bottom line at the expense of their policy holders, or are, perhaps, more oriented towards building customer relations.

With respect to your situation, I would suspect the former and therefore would expect your insurer to refuse to pay for the damages caused by one who was not authorized to operate the vehicle.

If such be the case, the damaged party may decide to sue the tortfeasor himself who allegedly was driving DWS (driving while suspended)----assuming that you yourself refuse to fork over the damages.
