Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Hi, I was charged with "disregarding red light" ( 46.2-833), while not coming to a full stop when making a legal right turn on red. Is this a correct code/description for this offense? Can I claim being charged with a wrong offense?
Thank you!

Sure, you could claim such, but the prosecutor, however, could easily amend the charge, if necessary, to conform with a statute more accurately describing the violation which actually occurred.
