Detention of a trafffic defendant
How long after a police officer has issued a traffic citation, can that police officer detain that person?

People are not normally detained for traffic citations. If you're referring to a criminal summons involving a traffic matter, there is no particular time of which I am aware. (However, one might add that the longer the delay, the shakier and more difficult to prove the case becomes for the Commonwealth.)
