Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
my name is Dianne age 55 , was driving a friend car , got pulled over for expired plate tags, was paid for but not on the vehicle. had a drivers license but after being expired , was not able to get renewed, because don't have a green card. am married to an American citizen, but did not file paperwork , because he was an alcoholic and verbally abusive. not divorce, just separated, my court date is February 23rd.

Best to have an attorney to represent you since NVOL (No Valid Operator's License) is potentially a
jailable offense.
If you can't afford to hire such from your own funds, then ask the court to appoint
a lawyer to represent you in this matter.
