Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I had a failer to yeild ticket, where only minor damages were involved no injuries. I plede guilty to failier to yeild and was fined $111.11 fine and court cost. I payed .. two weeks later i recieved a bill from county treasures saying I owe them $350.00 for acciedent, for police responce, is this legal? do I have to pay for this also? I never heard of this kind of fine. can you please help

So, why don't you ask the county treasurer to

clarify this "special assessment" for police response who

presumably were already on duty and whose salaries were

also being paid through public taxes to

which you also had presumably contributed?

So, if all of the above is in fact true, why this "special assessment"

against you to have the cops arrive on the scene?

So, let the county treasurer explain it and quote the applicable state and/or

local law which allows for it.
