Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
No fault accident-responsiblities
I was involved in an accident while driving someone elses car, side swiped with another car. No ticket was issued to either of us, due to another large transfer truck being involved, because the trooper could not find fault. Who is responsible for the other vehicle repairs and injury? Her insurance co., my friend's ins. co who covered the car, or myself?

Re: No fault accident-responsiblities
It's hard to say without a full presentation of the facts (as best that they can be assembled and argued) before a trier of fact, who will ultimately decide where the culpability lies. In other words,
a trial or hearing may be necessary in the appropriate court in the jurisdiction where the accident occured in order to determine who pays.
