Re: Handicap Parking/Placard Fraud
Fraudulently acquiring and using a handicap placard to park in spaces reserved for handicapped folks are both apparently classified as Class 2 misdemeanors in the Commonwealth's criminal code, and consequently punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1000, either or both.
See Va. Code Sec. 46.2-1247 and Sec. 46.2-1248.
