Hitting an animal
I know in some states if a driver hits an animal with their car they are responsible for it's medical bills. Is this true in the state of VA?

Re: Hitting an animal
Only if the driver was somehow negligent (or deliberate) in striking the animal with his or her vehicle which caused the injuries to the animal. (The owner of the animal would then have to sue the allegedly negligent driver in order to recover damages.)
