Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Hov
On the Virginia Uniform summons my trial date is listed as February 23 2005. The ticket was issued 12/6/05. Obviously the year was not written properly. However, it is not possible for me to attend a trial last year.
Can this ticket be dismissed and if so do I go to court on that date or do I have to take action sooner?

Re: Hov
Clerical errors on a summons will not result in a dismissal of the charge. You should appear on that date or you will likely be tried in your absence.
