Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

Jailed for suspended drivers license

I am in the Commonwealth of Virginia...I have a friend who has been in jail since June 08. She was in court Winter 08 to explain why she continued driving on a suspended license. She also had 13 of these violations not to mention over $6000 in fines.

At that time the Judge agreed to house monitoring and she was free...somewhat. In June she was arrested as she was heading to the jail for her weekly update.

Is there some case tucked away that we can use to justify releasing her? She is set to be released sometime before January 2009.

Your help is appreciated.

No, there is no one case (as far as I am aware)that

will spring this lady from her Virginia jail cell.

In addition to her egregious record, she must have committed another serious violation of the conditions of her release in June (which you have failed to specify)and which the judge is apparently using in his or her discretion to keep her locked up in the interest of public safety until January 2009.
