Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

What are limits on highway RADAR guns in Virginia? Who makes them?

I was stopped at 2 Am going home just after coming around a curve in a major highway in Fairfax. There are all sorts of bridges and highway sign trellises all around the highway there. Planes fly over to Dulles, if any radar bounces off the bridges upward.

The cop flirted with me, then gave me a sobriety test, which I passed, and then after flierting with me without success said I was going 83 in a 55 and charged with me reckless driving. I cannot afford to have my license suspended. I'm appealing in Circuit COurt.

Does anyone know the manufacturer of the radar that Virginia police use? Does anyone know how to get an expert witness to say that the radar was being mis-used?

The cop aimed the radar gun smack at a huge retaining wall where the highway curves, so that the radar will bounce around the corner, and bounce off of everything. My car is small with many angles compared to this big, massive concrete, flat wall. So it has to be a mis-use of the radar to aim it at a big honking wall instead of at open space on a straight highway.

Does anyone know how I can find the manufacturer's limitations, instructions, warnings, etc. not to mis-use the radar taht way? How can I get a witness to testify on this in court

"Big honking wall? "How to get an expert witness to say..., etc." Your query here on the BBS contains various clues, not to mention its somewhat unwholesome tone, which suggest that the right might not be on your side in this situation and that something is amiss in your tale of alleged misuse of police radar.

Aside from your various allegations regarding this "misuse" of the police radar, one question looms large in its current state of unansweredness: just how fast were you really going?
