Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
missing court date
I missed my court date for a speeding ticket because the officer wrote the wrong date on the ticket, when I went to court on the wrong day the clerk of court gave me a new date a month away, then I got a letter saying if i didnt pay the fine in 2 weeks that my license was going to be suspended... what should I do?

Re: missing court date
Call the clerk's office if you want to contest the ticket and explain the situation.
However, if you do not wish to contest it, then simply pay the fine.
(The traffic court apparently found you guilty in your absence on the first hearing date.)
