Motor vehicle moving violation
Rear End Collision: In VA is there a way to avoid getting points on ones license (i.e pay a restitution amount to a charity)? Court summons issued by VA State Police.

If you're found responsible for causing the rear end collision and convicted of the charge, the DMV will assess points against your driving record. (The court has no control over this process and whether you pay for the damages would apparently have no bearing on the issue of the number of points you receive on your DMV record.)
