Is it illegal for a police officer to use moving radar in the state of Virginia or in Hanover county?

No, however, it opens the officer up for brutal cross examination from a prepared attorney.

Why would(or should)police use of moving radar
be illegal? The purpose of radar is to apprehend speeders who are breaking the law. As long as it's been properly calibrated and the speed of the police vehicle properly factored into the calculations, whether the radar be stationary or moving should be irrelevant.
