Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

pacing ticket 50 in a 35.

I was recently pulled over in Prince William County virginia. When ask ''do you know why I pulled you over?'' I repied,''no idea''. She told me that she was following me for a few miles and when the speed limit reduced down I keeped going the same speed as before. She contiued to follow me antway, to a traffic light where I turned right and continued up a hill. When I started down the other side of the hill, after a few seconds, she pulled me over. On the ticket it said 50 in a 35 (paced .4 miles), it was also night, and cloudy, we were the only cars on the road. After returning to the location of the offence, I noticed to things- the terrain is not level and -the entire 35 mile/hour zone was about .8 miles long, that is from the light to where I was pulled over. I don't see how this was addiquit enough conditions for a steady accurate pace especially at night. The officer was also very far back behind me, so much so, I didn't know it was an officer, obviously on perpose. Is it better to attach the judgement of the officer, or the natural landscape and conditions of the scene? Because IF she thought it was ok for me to speed before, then why does she all the sudden deem it ok to pull me over later on a different road?

Well, you could have the speedometer of your vehicle calibrated to see whether it's accurate and then appear at your scheduled hearing(with a copy of your DMV record)to contest the matter, utilizing some of the issues which you've referenced in your defense.
