Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Using more than one parking spot for one car?
I work in Reston, VA and the parking lot at my place of employment has very small parking spaces. Sometimes I end up taking two spots up just so I can have enough room to get in and out of my car and so people dont bang into my car when they're getting in and out of their cars. Can I be ticketed or towed for taking more than one spot to park my car? There are no signs posted in the parking lot related to this matter as far as I can see.

Assuming that the parking lot area is private property, for what and under whose authority would you be ticketed?
Towing, however, is always a posssibility if the lot owner happens to be unhappy with the manner in which you've parked your car.
