Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Parking Violation
Hello I recieved a ticket on my car today where I work. The car was parked at the apartment complex where I work. The violation code is 46.2-716 -I had my license plate in the window on the dash, and I don't understand how I can get a ticket for that when my car was not moving?

Re: Parking Violation
Whether or not your vehicle was moving
is not the issue, but rather whether the license plate was fastened to your vehicle in a manner which would violate either part A or part B of
Sec. 46.2-716. And, if you think not, then you should contest the ticket.
