Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

Probation

Hi.

I was convicted of reckless driving in october of 2005 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. I was put on 3 years of probation! 72 days of suspended jail time! In january i had an accident, which i was charged for(3 points, Following to close ticket). I had a lawyer, but they charged me anyways. However my lawyer said that something small like Following to close would not violate my probation. Court was in june, and they didn't bother me after that. So i hope my lawyer was right. Four days ago i got a ticket in Arlington(46.2-846)Improper left turn. Violation of state(if it matters). Will this violate my probation? I called chesterfield court, and they said that it might not violate the probation, since its not a serious charge(unlike speeding for examle). Should i just prepay it or get a lawyer?

Re: Probation

You haven't indicated whether in fact you're guilty of the infraction charged and whether there may be defenses available to mitigate it.

(At some point even the minor infractions can add up to the point where at least someone in authority may believe that you may now be in violation of your probationary status.)
