Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
What is the process for filing a petition with Chesterfield County General District Traffic Court in order to secure a restricted driver's license in VA? I currently have a restricted driver's license in GA that was issued in May of 2010 but I moved to VA this June. Do I have to have an attorney do it or can I do it myself?

It depends on the reason that your license is suspended and whether you had a Virginia license to begin with. Depending on your situation you may need to either apply to DMV, file a petition with the General District Court, or file a petition in the Circuit Court. Driver's license restoration is, in some ways, a very personal area of law that depends on your individual circumstances.
