Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I got pulled over for doing 75 in a 55, officer gave a break and put "failure to obey highway sign", I also had a license plate frame that said s**t on it he said he will not write me for this. If I go to court and fight this, can he change the offense?

No, but the prosecutor could amend the charge to reckless driving( a misdemeanor offense) or to a speeding infraction based upon what the officer would be willing to testify to.
