Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I was pulled over for speeding. The officer said he got me on radar going 80/65. He didn't ask me any questions or talk to me, and since this is my first offense I figured I would get a warning. I was given a ticket. I am going to court in a month and I am willing to go to a DIP class and do community service and was wondering if there is any way it could be reduced?

If it's only a speeding infraction(and not reckless driving which is a crime),
you should be able to negotiate a deal with the prosecutor on the morning of
your hearing and before your court case is called by agreeing to plead
guilty to something less such as 74mph in a 65 mph zone and pay the resultant
fine + court costs.
