Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I was pulled over for speeding on the Virginia Parkway (federal property) and was given a ticket. However, the officer left his copy of the citation with me. Its been about 2 or 3 weeks since the citation and I have called the bureau of violations to set a court date, but the said they have no records of the citation yet, but said to wait longer as it takes a while to get into the system. Is there any chance that because the officer doesn't have his copy, that I was not written down for the speeding violation? or does the officer just put all the information in the computer in his car?

Who knows? Check back in 30 days and if still no record of it, then you'll
probably have your answer.
