Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I was pulled over for a traffic stop in Fauquier Co. VA by a sherriff from Loudoun County. At no time had I driven in Loudoun County. I had just travelled from Clarke County into Fauquier County. Does a sherriff retain their ability to take such actions when they are out of their jurisdiction?

Yes, if they have agreements/understandings with adjacent jurisdictions
regarding such matters which normally operate with reciprocity with
respect to these jurisdictions.
