Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I was pulled over yesterday on the Airport Rd driving a coworker to the Airport. The officer was parked under the 28 overpass on that overpass he told me there were postings of 45. I missed thim looking for the terminal number my coworker needed to get to. The officer pulled me over more then a mile from where he said he caught my speed which was directly under where the signs were posted. Since he caught my speed right next to the signs he did not even give me time to slow down or even press the brake to acknowledge the sign. I took pictures of where he pulled me over and plan to go back and take pictures of where he was located. adjacent to the signs. I do not have a clean driving record VA has not been good to me. I need to b eable to drive I am a young single mother and work full time and just enrolled in Nova. To be honest I really cannot afford to pay much to a lawyer yet alone a driving ticket at this time. My sons father lost his job so all support from him has stopped. I am just making it to pay my rent and necassary bills. I am here in this state on my own I came for a job I was offered and I am trying to survive living here. I don''t really know what to do or where to start. If I go to court on my own will I even have a chance. Any advise will be helpful at this point.

So, if the officer who ticketed you shows up for court, agree to plead guilty to a speeding infraction of around 10 mph or so less than what you were charged.with.

However, if the officer fails to appear, then ask for a dismissal of

your case (even if the Commonwealth asks for a continuance).
