Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Radar Enforcement
I received a reckless driving summons for 83 in a 65. I asked the officer if I could see the radar readout as I did not think I was going that fast. He stated Virginia law does not require him to show me or lock it in. How do I fight a ticket if I am not allowed to view the evidence against me?

Re: Radar Enforcement
I think the officer is not in tune to the latest laws related to the use of radar. Please review the code sections with reference to radar. Such code sections are located on http://www.vatrafficlaw.com on the reckless driving link. Remember to ask for the calibrations of the radar unit during your trial.
