Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I received a speeding ticket with administrated errors on it. The date to appear in court is on a Saturday. Where it asks for my first name on the ticket the office listed my middle name. this officer called my phone left a voice mail informing me of his errors as with a text addressing the same thing. The part that Im really mad about is he called my place of work looking for me no idea how he came across my works number but he informed my boss that I got a ticket. Is there anything illegal about calling someones work and giving out personal information? Can this hold up in court? What can I do about this? I need legal advice ASAP!

The court will probably allow the police / prosecutor to AMEND the ticket and/or "continue" (postpone) the date to another date.

However, if they do not actually do this properly, it may cause the ticket to be dismissed.

The only error that is actually serious is the Saturday court date.

I don't think that the officer can simply leave you a phone message changing the date.

But they easily could issue an amended / corrected ticket, in which case you would have to respond.

However, if they do not send you a formal amended ticket, then what I would do is go to the courthouse on the Saturday with a witness, then on the next Monday file a motion to dismiss the case because nobody showed up on the appointed date.
