Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I received a ticket for going 86 in a 65 in Virginia. do you think I need an attorney? Or just pay the ticket?

Sounds like reckless driving to me,i.e, 20+mph over the posted limit(not to mention exceeding 80mph), both of which are independent grounds for reckless driving, a criminal misdemeanor offense in the Commonwealth. So, yes, if at all possible, engage the services of counsel to represent you in this criminal matter.
(Furthermore, under no circumstances should you agree to enter a plea of guilty to a charge of reckless driving.)
